Finnish sauna
I found this really good new site about finnish sauna, while
reading the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo's facebook pages.
I thought this subject fits here well now as I'm going to
Finland for a holiday.
I will be able to enjoy finnish sauna after a long time.
Here is the link, hope it will give you good info about
finnish sauna and you want to try it one day.

Asakusa on Golden Week
Last week was the Golden Week. It's a major holiday in spring in Japan.
Normally on the Golden Week Tokyo is less grouded, cause people
head to their hometowns or to foreign countries for a holiday.
This year it was different, as you see from these pictures.
I never seen so many people in Asakusa this time of year.
On New Year it's normal, but not now. There was even news on Tv about it.
First we head to Nippori, which is a part of Arakawa city. It's also a
railway station, but the reason we went there is that it's also known
as textile town.
There you can find many wholesale stores of fabrics, textiles, and dress furnishings.
I toke only one photo at Nippori. It was a statue of Ōta Dōkan, a famous samurai.

Next to Asakusa. The trains were really full, both to and away from the place.

End of sakura
I toke these pictures over week ago, so this entry is little late.
Because of the quake, this years "hanami" was more restrained
than normally.
Hope next year things will been back to normal, both for the people
on the disasterarea and for "hanami".
Even the ending of sakura is little sad, it's also beautifull, with
all the petals droping and covering the ground.
